Shell Vacations Partners with Interval International to Enhance Services
MIAMI & NORTHBROOK, Ill., Aug 03, 2011 – Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating business of Interval Leisure Group, and Shell Vacations LLC, one of the shared ownership industry's largest and most successful independent resort developers, today announced a long-term master affiliation agreement. This encompasses 24 unique Shell Vacations--operated or --affiliated resorts in the United States, Canada, and Mexico that will enhance Interval's quality global exchange network. The latest addition to Shell Vacations' impressive portfolio is the iconic Park Manor Suites in San Diego, California, which has been renamed Inn at the Park to maintain brand recognition within the resort collection. All properties that the company develops, acquires, or services during the term of the contract will be included.
Shell Vacations has also selected Interval to provide points-based reservations and a comprehensive package of other customized services, benefits, and programs for its members. The seamless integration will leverage Interval's infrastructure and supplement Shell Vacations' resources.

Shell Vacations Execs Raise Funds for Charities of Choice
Northbrook, Illinois — July 28, 2011 - Through Shell Vacations Club (SVC) company-wide charitable giving initiative, SVCares (Community Awareness Raised by Employees of Shell Vacations), Shell employees within each region select local charities to support in a variety of ways. In addition, Shell Vacations employees have personal charities of choice that they donate their time and effort to support.
President and Chief Operating Officer Tracy L. Sherles, is passionate about the Community Partners' Autism organization. Her home town area has a higher than national average percentage of children with autism. For the sixth consecutive year, they have organized a Golf Tournament and Silent Auction for Autism, where this year over one hundred golfers teamed up on Saturday, July 9, at The Oaks Golf Links in Somersworth, New Hampshire and raised more than $10,000 for the local nonprofit organization. New Hampshire native Sherles also participated as a player in the event. "The Community Partners organization has helped many local families," commented Sherles. "We are proud to be able to give back to this organization so they can continue in their humanitarian efforts for members of our New Hampshire community."
Once again, Shell Vacations Club was the Platinum Sponsor of the tournament. In addition to a substantial donation, Shell Vacations provided prizes for the live auction, including two seven-night vacation stays at selected company vacation ownership properties, to be chosen by the winners. Proud to serve once again as a tournament sponsor, Shell Vacations owns the local historic Crotched Mountain Resort, located in Francestown, New Hampshire, which has 24 vacation ownership units in two-story buildings, as well as a clubhouse, spa, pool and recreation center.
According to the event chairperson, Jackie Horne, all proceeds from the tournament and auction were donated to the Family Support division of the Community Partners' Autism Fund. Overseen by the Family Advisory Council, the Family Support Program provides an array of support to families including respite, recreation, information and resources, advocacy, parent-to-parent support, transition to adult services, and opportunities for families to spend time together, plus attend workshops or other trainings.
Shell Vacations Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sheldon H. Ginsburg is active in the Canine Companions for Independence ® (CCI) and Guide Dogs for the Blind. Explains Ginsburg, "Besides always wanting to assist those not as fortunate as us, my wife and I are animal (and specifically dog) lovers. We actively support these charities as they provide support to both of those passions". CCI is a national non-profit organization that provides highly-trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to individuals with physical disabilities to assist with daily tasks and increase independence by reducing reliance on other people. A Service Dog can pull their partner in a manual wheelchair, push buttons for elevators or automatic doors, turn on lights, pick up dropped keys, open a door and even assist with business transactions by transferring money, receipts, and packages. Ginsburg and his wife are attending the annual CCI "Day at the Races" on August 6th which is a fund raising event at the track with silent auctions as well as demonstrating puppies in training.
The Guide Dogs for the Blind are specially trained to assist a person who is blind with mobility. The dog is trained to lead, obey commands, avoid distractions, and disobey a command if it would put them in danger. On October 1, 2011 the Guide Dogs for the Blind will have their ninth annual Canine Heroes Wine Auction. Shell Vacations' will host attendees at their Vino Bello Resort® in Napa, California. The proceeds from this event will go toward supporting annual veterinary costs of $3 million for 4,200 program dogs and puppies. Festivities include a silent auction, reception (featuring multiple Napa Valley chefs and wineries), live auction and four-course gourmet dinner.

Shell Management Hawaii, Inc. Named the #1 Best Place to Work in Hawaii for 2011
Honolulu, HI – April 14, 2011 - For the second consecutive year, Shell Management Hawaii, Inc. was awarded the number one Best Places to Work in Hawaii for 2011 in the large company category at the Awards Dinner at the Waikiki Edition on April 1, 2011. The award was presented to Linda Anthony, Regional Vice President of Shell Management Hawaii, by Steven Petranick, Editor of Hawaii Business Magazine. The seventh annual event honors Hawaiian businesses in its "Best Places To Work In Hawaii" program, is co-sponsored by Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pa. and UHA (University Health Alliance) and published annually by Hawaii Business Magazine.
Best Companies Group (BCG) also awarded Shell Management Hawaii the top award for "Healthiest Workplace Company" in the large employer category. The Healthiest Workplace award focuses on specific health and wellness related topics such as 'Does a company pay 100 percent of medical care? Does a company have a health and wellness program?' These are all taken into account and analyzed by BCG. Shell Management Hawaii has a wellness program called the Wellness Ohana. A committee that consists of representatives from each of the resorts plus the regional office launches a new theme each quarter and provides employee education and encouragement on that theme--everything from "Happy Healthy Heart" to "Skin Care Essentials".
This survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Hawaii, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Places to Work in Hawaii list is made up of a total of 60 companies, split into three groups: 23 small- companies (15-49 employees), 17 medium companies (50-249 employees) and 20 large companies (250 or more employees). With 267 employees, Shell Management Hawaii, Inc has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Hawaii in the large category. Included in the large company category were respected companies such as Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Deloitte and New York Life.
Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Hawaii. The first part consisted of evaluating each participating company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.
There are five Shell Vacations' resorts on the Hawaiian Islands and they include: Holua Resort at Mauna Loa Village, Kona Coast Resort and Paniolo Greens on the Big Island; Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy in Kauai as well as Waikiki Marina Resort at the Ilikai in Honolulu.
